Recognized with a nomination from the James Beard House, Chef John Cuevas has elevated the local culinary scene. Classically trained at the Culinary Institute of America, Scottsdale, AZ. John is passionate about having fun in the kitchen and delivering food that makes his guests smile.
With a rich background in fine dining Julie and John naturally bring the most important elements of that service to the more relaxed style found at MADRE. Warm hospitality, quality ingredients, delicious food and beverage.
With over 20 years working in food and beverage, Julie most recently was the Director of Food & Beverage operations at Montage, Laguna Beach, CA. Overseeing the Lobby Lounge, In Room Dining, Banquets and three restaurants, including the Forbes Five Star and Grand Award winning restaurant, Studio.
